Contribuiți la feedbackMy recent visit to this restaurant for lunch was delightful. The staff were friendly and attentive, the food, particularly the lamb dish we ordered, was delicious, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant was quite pleasant. In the midst of a busy shopping center, Cara Co offers a tranquil retreat for enjoying excellent food.
My spouse and I went to this restaurant with another couple using a voucher we found in the newspaper. We stumbled upon a hidden gem that we otherwise would have missed. Our waiter was fantastic, and although not everyone enjoyed the welcome drink (luckily, I did), we were all thrilled to have found this unique and innovative dining experience in the heart of the city. The food was beautifully presented, and despite some negative reviews, we found the flavors to be exceptional. The portions were small but artistically crafted, and the richness of the dishes left us satisfied without needing more. We were pleasantly surprised when they offered us a dessert that was not on the menu but had caught our interest. Given the unusual molecular cooking style of the restaurant, I am eager to return for another dining experience.
Terrible experience. Every dish in the tasting menu was a custard, mousse, or soup. The only exception was a small and dry cube of lamb. The food was either too salty or lacking flavor. Portions were tiny and there were no salads or vegetables in sight. We left feeling hungry. The service was incredibly slow, with long waits between courses. It took over three hours to finish our small mousse dishes. Every other dish or drink, one of us was in the bathroom, so we didn't know what we were eating most of the time. This is very unprofessional. Overall, the food was strange and small, the service was slow and unprofessional, the wine selection was unimpressive, and the restroom was inconveniently located. For over $300, we expected much more. The only real food we had all night was a cheese sandwich when we got home.
We used a Travel zoo voucher but they didn 't treat us any differently to normal customers. Food was amazing, really delicious and creative- we had the degustation menu so luckily we could try many dishes- everything was yummy. Staff are knowledgeable- service was a little slow, especially when trying to get a drink. But overall it was a wonderful night. (The mini hand towels that look likes mints but 'grew ' when the waiter poured warm water on them were a big hit)
My husband and I went to this restaurant last year around October 2012 and had a degustation using an online voucher. We were quite surprised about the creativity of the dishes and how different the place was. However this year, we went again on the same deal and was extremely disappointed. Service was amazing in the beginning but towards the last three courses, took over 20 minutes between each course. The tomato soup wasn't nice at all (tasted like they use soda water in it). Then it became frustrating and did nothing for my hunger when I saw how small the main (lamb) was. It was pretty much equivalent in size to a slice of spam cut into three triangles. Saw a couple having the a la carte and the mains looked adequate there, so might be worth trying that. However if I was a full-paying customer who got the degustation, I would feel truly cheated. Don't know if I'd return.
