Contribuiți la feedbackOur empty glasses went unrefilled for long periods, and when we asked for assistance, our requests were met with indifference. It's evident that customer satisfaction is not a priority here. Sadly, the disappointment carried over to the food. The dishes were bland and unimaginative, making them far from memorable. The flavors were mediocre at best, and the presentation was lacking. Additionally, the portion sizes were frustratingly small, especially given the inflated prices. I had expected high-quality ingredients and flavors to justify the steep costs, but it turned out to be an unjustifiable expense. To make matters worse, the prices on the menu were outrageously high. It felt like the restaurant was capitalizing on its location or reputation without delivering the value or experience one would anticipate at such prices. The lack of quality paired with the high costs left me feeling cheated and dissatisfied. In conclusion, my experience at Simba’s Grill was disappointing. The rude owner, subpar service, mediocre food, and high prices all contributed to a less than satisfactory dining experience. I don’t plan to return, as there are plenty of other restaurants nearby that offer better service, tastier cuisine, and more value for the money.
The food was exceptional—undoubtedly the best dinner I've experienced in Vancouver. The tasting menu, which includes a variety of dishes, is absolutely worth the cost. The naan made with a coconut milk blend was delightful. I will certainly be back!
When we requested to take home our leftovers—which was nearly half of our meal—they quickly provided us with takeout boxes and even refilled our hot sauce containers. This thoughtful gesture was much appreciated, especially since the dips and sauces are incredibly tasty, though slightly spicy. Make sure to try the Mango and Red sauces, and if you can’t locate the yellow sauce, just ask for it. There's also a coconut sauce and a yogurt-based sauce that pair perfectly with Naan. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Simba's Grill. It’s undoubtedly one of the best restaurants I’ve been to recently in terms of food quality, portion sizes, flavor, and service. If you, like me, sometimes crave protein and want to take a break from salads, sushi, or ramen in favor of something more flavorful, this is definitely a place worth visiting. Regarding parking, there are about eight spots available, shared with Starbucks, but there’s also street parking nearby.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Every dish I tried was delicious. If you're up for a spicy challenge, be sure to ask for the Simba special hot sauce—it's incredible! However, I wouldn't suggest it for those who aren't a fan of spicy flavors.
The lamb kebabs were absolutely mouthwatering—juicy and cooked to perfection! The rice complemented the yogurt, coconut, hot sauce, and tamarind sauce beautifully. I can't wait to come back and try more dishes! For those looking for vegetarian options, there is a great selection of vegetarian curries to choose from!
