Gentlemens Club 10 - Wilkes-Barre

Last night, I was chatting with a colleague about beers, and he mentioned a particular beer he really enjoyed while in Germany. Curious about its availability, he pulled out his trusty search engine, and it directed us to Krugel’s Georgetown. To our delight, they had that unique German Märzen import he said is quite rare in the U.S. As for the food, it wasn't anything to write home about. I had a decent turkey club sandwich, and he went with a perfectly acceptable grilled cheese. However, the food isn’t the main attraction here—it's all about the BEER. My only issue is that not all of the beers are chilled. If you're enjoying a drink on-site, they'll provide you with a chilled glass, but only some of the six-packs in the coolers are cold. I’ve never seen this many beers in one place. Yes, I mentioned that earlier, but it remains true.

Five stars for beer selection! We stopped by yesterday and were super excited by the great variety of beer! We got a growler filled with the beer made especially for them. We also bought the Clutch beer, which has been hard to find in our area. The last place we bought a bunch was in D.C. We left with a great variety to try... because that's what we love to do... try different beer! We haven't had their food yet, but the next time we stop by we'll be sure to bring our appetite.

Stopped in here with my partner while passing through on a road trip from Vermont to North Carolina and ended up wishing we could stay longer to sample their AMAZING beer selection! This place put all of our local craft beer stores to shame and we wished we lived closer--thousands of brews, including a huge variety of stouts, which always seem to be lacking in our experience. The owner, Joe, was extremely friendly and accommodating and we had some great conversations, the clerk was helpful as well. It's been a family business for forty years! The giant cow out front is pretty rad too. Clean and well-kept and the turkey reubens were delicious.

We came here to grab some beer before heading back to the hotel to watch Playoffs. We were kind of in a rush. Thank you, gentlemen, for targeting some local craft beers in your massive selection for us to enjoy. We were happy with your suggestions for us, and we got back in time for the kickoff. Excellent customer service and good prices. The beer helped soften the pain of the Panthers' defeat.

Stopped on our travels for lunch. Good deli and service and picked up some cool local brews to bring home.
