From out of town and wanted to give this restaurant a try. The restaurant is really nice and the service was great! The food was good but not great. The gem caesar salad was really small for the price $14 and the orecchiette with sausage and broccoli was really really salty (and I love salt) The broccoli was not cooked enough and was hard and looks as if it was just tossed in. It wasn't cooked with the dish/sauce. Also, there were stems of broccoli mixed in. For the price of the dish it was not up to par. My husband got the rigatoni with shrimp dish and again it was just loaded with garlic and way too salty. We are from the Philadelphia area and eat at great Italian restaurants so this just wasn't what it should be. I would probably try the restaurant again but get an entree.
Our server was amazing, I would go back simply because of her. Bucatini carbonara was creamy, crunchy, and salty. It was exactly what I was looking for. The cocktails were not unreasonably priced for their value, I got the Pear Collins and my friend the Esspreso martini. Cute decor and a nice place to go for a girls' night. Would be perfect for a fancy date night.
Everything about our first visit to Bank and Vine was fabulous! Drinks, food, service were all top notch!
We enjoyed our dinner at Bank Vine before a show at the Kirby Performing Arts Center. Our servers were professional, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and ingredients. They kept the pace of dinner service so we were on time for the show. It's about a 10 minute walk between the two. We started with a nice bottle of Pinot Noir from Oregon. Then we shared 2 apps, 2 small plates and one large plate. Everything was tasty. We especially enjoyed the Gigante beans and Fennel salad and the Duck l an orange. Also, we had the homemade sorbet and ice cream. They are housemade and just one scoop of each was satisfying.
