Basal Pizza - Waterloo

Stumbled upon this place while in town for work and wanted a good local (non chain pizza place. The reviews/comments convinced me to give it a try and really glad I did great tasting pizza (I had the mushroom and homemade sausage . Service was friendly, fast, and attentive. Prices were very good (my bill came to about $16 with a drink. They call these 'personal ' pizzas but they are much larger than single serving easily the size of a traditional medium and will feed 2. Parking is mostly street but I had no trouble finding a spot on a Saturday night. Highly recommended!

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had. The cheese bread isike no other. The pizza sauce is absolutely delicious. Tastes like the tomatoes were right from the garden. Crust was perfectly cooked. Absolutely amazing!!!!!

We have eaten here for years, both for the food and the friendly service. When we wanted to hold a retirement party we thought that those attributes, along with the layout of having two side-by-side connected restaurants, would meet our needs. We were completely satisfied. We rented one side and entertained about 50 people for two hours at a very reasonable price. Some of us stayed beyond the two hours and things just transitioned to a comfortable after-party. We can’t say enough about the friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and great food.

The kid requested pizza and man this place delivered. Incredible crusts made fresh and fast. The street taco pizza with chorizo was delicious and such a unique taste we ate it all up. The pepperoni pizza was also good. They arrived very quickly and hot. The decor is very cool and trendy. Service was excellent and very laid back. We will definitely stop again when we come through town. It was $36 for two pizzas, one lemonade, plus tip. Very well worth the money.

The best in the county! You won’t get food this good, with all fresh ingredients anywhere around. Great food, great people, great atmosphere! Recently had the Detroit style as a weekend special. It was so good! Thick, chewy crust and crunchy, cheesy edges. Apparently it is going to be on the new menu rollout soon and I am stoked!
