Great Italian restaurant! My grandmother came from Sicily; and when I say the food here was just like my grandmother's I mean it. I've waited 30 years to have a cannoli made just right and never thought, as a NY native, that I'd find it at Amalia's, in North Carolina. The pasta was perfectly made. Went here for an anniversary. The service is unmatched in the triangle. There was a dish labeled ‘spicy’ that I wanted to try but was afraid it would be too spicy. The chef let me try the sauce so I could determine whether to order it (I did, it was excellent). The waitress was exceptionally attentive and friendly. They opened and shut the door for us on the way in and out. Delicious food, friendly but unpretentious staff; it doesn’t get better around here.

When we went to the door of this charming and cozy historic home, I knew we were for a tasty one. great service and incredible eating! so fresh! perfect portions. delicious wine. so impressed. that was something special.
