Hey people, this lunch hier was really a orgasmo culinario , my strongest recommendation if you are in this zone, this is really thrue Italy not a touristic attraction) Regards Robert
This restaurant is amazing! Real sense of authentic food. Once you sit down you get a delicious small appetizer with parmigiano reggiano cheese as we are in the region where it’s produced) that you cut on your own and small delicious “crescentine” also typical dish, bread dough fried and served warm)…all this accompanied by a glass of extra dry prosecco, Metodo prosecco. The owner, Antonio, declaims all the plates in a theatrical way with great enthusiasm and it’s nice that after pronouncing them he leaves you a while to discuss and decide ..a sensitivity many other places miss starring at you expecting a quick decision….. We were sure about focusing on the first courses but the choice was wide….when Antonio came back we asked him a suggestion and he solved the doubt offering us a tasting of 3 different plates to share, that was great! We had pumpkin ravioli in which I could finally feel well the pumpkin taste, red radicchio ravioli with a sauce of parmesan cheese and red vinegar and last but not least a typical dish called “bomba di riso”…rice bomb. This was something amazing, risotto baked in oven with a covering of butter and bread crumbs with a pigeon stuffing….we had to share but I could have eaten few of those! Antonio explained us it was an ancient typical recipe of that region and 3 cooks serve to prepare it well. During the first courses we drank a half liter bottle of Amarone di Valpolicella by Lamberti, wonderful. Our pleasant meal finished with a mix of desserts and a glass of passito but we stopped the arrivals after few cakes tasting as it would have been too much…all delicious. So …if you visit Parma or Reggio Emilia you can’t miss this place, if you meet Antonio say hello from Top Italy Experience.
Place with location not really easy to find where I ate very well: meat and truffle cutters. Unique new Chianti red wine that had a hint of cap. Professional and attentive staff. Service punctual and very kind. Cosy environment, with dedicated spaces for very well furnished groups. Local to try.
Very nice location, in a renovated and glazed country house. Giardinetto with a view where you can appreciate the meal when the temperature allows it, typical dishes very abundant and absolutely delicious. Excellent wines. Parking space guaranteed. Smiling staff. Sweet homemade. Waiting times in the norm. I have revisited the restaurant several times and the quality remains guaranteed!
