Roaches Lock Inn - Tameside

Very friendly staff, excellent service and the food was delicious. Our dog was very much welcomed. Will definitely be returning soon.

Just want to do a big massive shout out to the lovely staff at the Roaches Lock Inn. Myself and my family went tonight for my sons 18th birthday meal, staff owners were amazing! Couldn't have done any more to make it a special night for my son! The lovely lady who is the chef even came out, to join all the staff to sing happy birthday to him and even gave him a pint on the house!! Very polite and friendly! 14 of us aswell and our orders were perfect! The lovely owner even wwnt out of her way for us all. Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere and beautiful setting. Honestly had such a lovely night and can't thank you enough for everything!! I would 1000% recommend!! We will definitely be back thankyou so much

We are Barry and Jani we live in Scotland now, We used to live in springhead. We come down to the Saddleworth area visiting family every now and then. We asked the staff at Roaches lock if we could stay over in our campervan. The staff at Roaches where fantastic and made us feel so so welcome. We've had a couple of meals there this week the food is spot on and at a very reasonable price. Nice big screen to watch the football on. This is a dog friendly pub, There's a fantastic beer garden right on the canal with some great walks along the canal and just a short walk to uppermill. Roaches lock ticks every box. Really looking forward to our next visit. Cheers to all the team at Roaches.

Absolutely appalling service, waited over an hr for food then came out wrong. The serving staff were great but the landlady and the cooks attitude was appalling. Would not recommend and not step foot in the place again. Got bullied out of the place and confronted as they didn't like the criticism
