Waffle Monkey - Tamarindo

Big waffel, they choose the toppings they want, chocolate sauce is vegan. there is an option for a banana milkshake, but I chose a tropical smoothie that was also delicious.

This is not a vegan restaurant but I appreciated that they have a tasty vegan option available in this popular cafe. The atmosphere is great fun and the proprietor and staff are top notch. A great last breakfast in Costa Rica!

Some of the best waffle I’ve ever had. I need to know the recipe. During our 2 days in Tamarindo we got breakfast there both days. Amazing waffles made very well. I’d give this place 5 stars if it would let me. During our dining experience some monkeys passed by in the trees above us The staff there were very kind and checked on us to see if we enjoyed our food and were there to help and provide a good eating experience. There smoothies were also very good. If I ever return to Costa Rica I will eat there again most definitely! And also recommend to others.

I have to give it a lower review because I have to say they have not perfected the vegan waffle. My boyfriend got the regular one and said it was amazing, but mine was a bit dry. I got the vegan milkshake and that was yummy, a bit too sweet tho but if you share it’s great or if u can handle a lot of sweets.

What’s not to love! Great waffle, good coffee and on the beach. The fruit was fresh and the waffle was nice and light.
