Rita Cantina - Springs

This place used to be a fabulous spot in Springs! So sad to find the food is now horrible. Fluke ceviche was slightly fishy tasting. Shrimp Al pastor tacos had no pineapple and no mango but they did have coleslaw and over cooked bland shrimp. The Aromatic Crusted Mushroom Asada was soggy, sickly sweet and came with bland condiments. This was inedible. We told our waitress the meal was bad, she did absolutely nothing about it. So we didn't finish it, took the check, and left. : sad to see it go terribly downhill.

Reminded me of an airport restaurant serving disgusting and uninspired food at sky high prices. I came here last year and enjoyed it enough to return. This time, I couldn 't finish the meal. The shrimp al pastor tacos didn 't come with any of the charred pineapple or mango listed on the menu, but I was surprised to receive wet coleslaw under the overcooked shrimp. The Aromatic Crusted Mushroom Asada was inedible. Instead of the crusted grilled mushrooms advertised on the menu, we received soggy and sickeningly sweet mushrooms drenched in some sort of BBQ sauce. Many of the fries were only a little less soggy. When we complained to the waitress, she was not interested in fixing anything. We left a mostly uneaten meal on the table.

Food here was very good. Went for lunch. Cute little place hidden on back road. Had tacos with shrimp and quesadillas with lamb and street corn. Menu will say “one taco” which is actually 2 very stuffed tacos. Overpriced like everything else out here. Price per person: $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I really want this restaurant to thrive, but it's incredible that after several years, they still haven't addressed the overwhelming noise inside. The food is good, and the drinks are excellent. However, I couldn't hear our server when she came to take our order. I leaned in and mentioned, "This noise must be driving you crazy." She confided that she’s having a nervous breakdown from it. She’s been putting up with it for two months and can't take it anymore. As for parking, finding a spot nearby on a busy night is nearly impossible.
