The restaurant has a delightful atmosphere that brings back a sense of nostalgia. It's situated in a newly remodeled spot in downtown Springfield. Their old-fashioned milkshakes, crafted with real ice cream, are incredibly tasty. The portions are quite generous, making it an ideal place for lunch.
Absolutely delicious food! The French toast is incredibly fluffy and has an amazing flavor—it must be made with magic! The home fries are perfectly cooked, and the staff are just as wonderful! Thank you for the great atmosphere, fantastic food, and excellent service!
The sausage was delicious and served piping hot, and the eggs were cooked well with great flavor. However, I found the stuffed French toast to be disappointing. The bread was at room temperature, and the cream cheese and raspberry jam were cold, making the dish feel lackluster. The bread overpowered the overall flavor, and the cold elements combined to create a disappointing experience. The atmosphere started off as usual, but it soon became much louder. At one point, a young boy jumped out to scare a waitress, which intensified the noise from both the staff and patrons. The service was quick, and the food arrived faster than I remembered from previous visits, but my waitress didn’t check in on my meal or offer a coffee refill; I had to ask for it. Although she was friendly, she seemed more focused on demonstrating how to serve tables to the young boy than on ensuring good service. Overall, it was an okay experience, but it was disappointing given my anticipation. If the French toast had been as good as it used to be, I might have been more forgiving of the other issues.
The food was fantastic. I ordered the corned beef hash, which was anything but the typical greasy kind; it was top-quality, like something you'd get from a butcher, and it was cooked to perfection—not dry or burnt at all. The eggs were excellent, and I also had home fries, or potatoes O'Brien, which were delightful and not greasy. I will definitely return when I visit Springfield again!
