Tenth West - Seattle

The best bagels I've ever had! The location is adorable, and the atmosphere is really relaxed. The staff is friendly, and the food is excellent! Rating: 5/5.

This charming sandwich shop on the western edge of Queen Anne is located on a quiet street near a bus stop. It offers some pleasant outdoor seating, although it doesn't have much room for large groups and can get quite busy on weekends. If you want to avoid a long wait, it's best to arrive earlier in the morning, preferably before 10. I nearly regret not ordering the breakfast sandwiches, but the deli sandwich I tried was excellent. I'll definitely have to return to sample the breakfast bagel as well!

The fruit was excellent, and while the breakfast sandwich was fresh, it was reminiscent of something I could easily make at home. I believe it could benefit from some chipotle mayo, pesto, or another kind of sauce to elevate it. The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, with a charming patio for seating and attentive waitstaff.

One of the items I placed on our loose itinerary included simply, a coffee shop . As out-of-towners visiting Seattle for the first time, it felt like the thing to do.But on our way to a hike that became a 1,200-ft ascent, the next-door Coffeemind didn 't provide the sustenance we needed. Tenth West became the benefactor, as we stumbled in to the humble café that simply appeared to serve food.Serve they did. Contributing 5 of the 6 total patrons in the shop on a Friday morning, we were at the beck and call of the friendly staff. The same friendly staff that not only allowed, but suggested I traverse back to the adjacent coffee shop to satisfy my Chai Latte fix (Tenth West offered coffee, but I am not too keen on the mud).The quaint building offered a homey vibe, even appeared to have a small market of miscellaneous grocery items available. Subsequently, it churned out hefty portions of breakfast and lunch fare, including the pictured turkey pesto sandwich. For a moment, I felt transported to an alternate universe where I grew up in a charming town in which my mother made incredibly delightful sandwiches (with respect to Mom).5 stars I didn 't expect to be giving out!

Wonderful breakfast in a lovely setting, sitting on the front patio in a largely residential neighborhood in Queen Anne. What's not to like?
