Krispy Kreme - Savannah

Consistently the best and freshest donuts around. This place is immaculate, and, unusually for today’s standards, the staff is both tidy and friendly. A refreshing change! This is definitely my go-to donut spot in Savannah.

This place is always out of the minis. In fact, the last seven times I visited, they were unavailable. I thought it might be because I was coming later in the day, so I decided to arrive earlier today, but it turned out to be worse than usual. I first asked for a dozen minis, and they said they were out. Then I inquired about six strawberry-filled donuts, and again, they were out. I tried to order six custard-filled donuts, and they agreed to that. Once I finally reached the counter, the employee told me, “We’re out of custard-filled too.” I then asked, “Do you have any hot and fresh original glazed?” She replied, “No.” I asked for six original glazed when they do have them, and she said, “That’ll be $10.04.” She then closed the window and handed me six cold original donuts instead.

I visited the restaurant around 5 PM and found that they had no regular glazed donuts available. When I inquired, I was told we would need to wait an hour for them to be ready. There were other types of donuts available, but it was frustrating that none of the several staff members seemed to take action to resolve the situation.

They ran out hot donuts while we waited on the way through. so disappointing?
