Contribuiți la feedbackI recently visited Carrousel for the first time before my upcoming move to Sarasota. It was a fantastic experience! It reminded me of Cheers, where everyone knows your name. The staff and regular customers were friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious with perfect portion sizes and prices. I will definitely be returning as a regular customer.
That sat us at 11:23am, without a fuss even though they close at 11:30am, which was respectable. They do close at 11:30 strictly though. This is a Basic and Simple Diner Breakfast. The best part is how fast and how cheap the food is. Don’t expect anything beyond that and you won’t be disappoint. The staff are sensible and professional. Just don’t expect them to be your best friend. They are working hard and they are on their feet. This is a reliable local breakfast place. It has work-class charm and an unpretentious comfort to the vibe. They had no avocado as a side option , but they did offer poached eggs, which is a nice healthy bonus. I’m grateful for the poached eggs. Took a risk and tried the corn beef hash as a side. Nice modest portion and it was tasty. Mixed it in with my two poached eggs and enjoyed it with a lovely tasty side salad that was not over-Dressed. The lettuce they used was quality which I appreciate it. They don’t use Romain or iceberg lettuce for their salads. I’m so pleased about this. There’s definitely way to a healthy clean eating meal there. They didn’t have fresh salsa, but they did have bottled Cholula hot sauce. Great place to grab an analog newspaper before you go and sit by yourself and eat breakfast. Or do some reading. It felt like a real East Coast Diner.
This restaurant is a hidden gem for locals, serving up delicious food with great service. If you're looking for a typical IHOP experience, this is not the spot for you.
A place of locals. The place has been open for decades. This is a true place where the servers know the names and probably the commands of most of the regulars. My arrival today was somewhat later than the dawn and it was a Tuesday, typically a little slower than other days. I'm not regular, but I stopped a few times over the years. Until this visit I would have described it as a place with small portions at a small price. Today I ordered an omelet, and while the price was still small, the portion size was not so small. I don't speak gigantic, but my Ham Cheese Omelet with some potatoes and toast was a good breakfast. The service was attentive and the food was prepared and delivered within a few minutes. The place has several tables and several places along a few counters. I have the clear impression of overhearing conversations, it can be quite busy, especially when they open first. This is an experience in downtown Sarasota. How cool is that?
Best breakfast in Town. Everything is deliciously better than the Ritz. Try the omelets; you will love her. Something for everyone and the coffee is great. A family-run restaurant with a family atmosphere.
