L’opera Bakery Bistro - Sarasota

We had breakfast at this restaurant today and it was absolutely delicious! We tried both the celestial and regular croissants and they were exceptional. Having just returned from France, we can say that this boulangerie is just as amazing as any place we ate in France. The croissants were flaky and crisp on the outside, yet delicate on the inside. The homemade celestial jam was heavenly. We also ordered a mushroom quiche, which was wonderful, and an omelet, which was equally delicious. The baguette on the side was also fantastic - crisp, tender, and soft. My cappuccino had a beautiful chocolate drizzle on top and tasted delicious. We also ordered a French sandwich to take to the beach and are looking forward to enjoying it later. Adam and his employees were very attentive and welcoming, clearly proud of the food and service they offer. I highly recommend dining here, you will not be disappointed!

This restaurant is a true hidden gem with a fabulous atmosphere, the friendliest staff I have ever encountered, and a delicious menu. I will definitely be returning.

This lovely bakery bakes everything on site, including delicious multi-seed baguettes and flaky croissants. I am excited to try their cannon pastry next!

Wow! the mandel croissant was the best croissant I ever tasted. it was very rich, so I ate only half, but wow wow wow. flakey with crispy mangles on the outside, a mandel flavored sweet filling inside. this was not a low calorie eating with a lot of butter, so they prepare themselves with many serviettes as they feel how they can moisten their whole body with the amount of butter. it was delicious. lattes were also very good. I'd be serious about going back when I was in town for longer.
