Breakfast At Victoria's - Sarasota

They offered a variety of vegan breakfast choices! We tried the vegan toast topped with avocado, kalamata olives, and sun-dried tomatoes, as well as the Nutella strawberry waffles and the berry waffles. They usually serve vegan whipped cream, but unfortunately, they were out. However, the waffles were so delicious and sweet with the toppings that the whipped cream wasn’t missed. I really appreciated the contrast of the waffles being crunchy on the outside while still fluffy on the inside.

Cute new café with owners that will go above and beyond trying to make vegans happy. They offer but are not limited to vegan waffles, pancakes, avocado toast, penne pasta in marinara sauce, roasted vegetable board, a vegan burger. The website has an outdated menu but I’ve included the current one.

I hesitate to leave a negative review, especially for a place that offers vegan options, but I don’t think I would return here. I ordered waffles, which were good, but the wait for our food was excessively long. Additionally, our server was disappointing; she barely acknowledged us compared to how attentive she was to other tables.

I first tried the vegan waffles, but they were quite bland and lacking in flavor. I didn't want to leave a negative review based on that experience, so I decided to give their vegan pancakes a try on our next visit. Unfortunately, during our second visit, we struggled to get anyone to assist us, even after reminding the staff we were waiting. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, and while I understand that many places are dealing with staffing challenges, we ultimately waited for half an hour without being helped and chose to leave. I truly want to support restaurants that offer vegan options, but this experience didn’t go well for us. I likely won't be returning.

It pains me to leave a negative review for a restaurant that offers vegan options, but I don't think I would return to this place. The food I had was good, but the service was extremely slow, and our server was not very attentive. They seemed unaware of what was going on at other tables as well.
