Mac N Cheese After Dark - Santa Barbara

Awesome after hours spot or regular hour! I wasn't drunk when I ordered the meat lover for me and the ultimate for my wife. We both got the large, we both got easily filled up not even half way through eating the macs. In fact there so much food that we'll both be grubbing on them for the next few days. At $16 and $13 respectively for each one seems like a lot of money to throw down on mac and cheese, it's not because mostly likely you too will be eating it for the next few days as well! Hot Cheetos crumbs are great topping adding richly to the experience!

My friends and I were nearby last night so we decided to stop in for some mac and cheese. Initially, I had planned to get something healthy from elsewhere, but when I saw Vanessa's Ultimate Mac N Cheese I had to use one of my cheat meals. I grabbed the Vegetarian order and it was easily the best Mac N Cheese I have ever had. And man, I'm a critic since I'm from New Orleans where we just had a Mac N Cheese festival. The capri sun paired very well with it too! My friend said that before this, she wasn't really a fan of Mac N Cheese. She LOVED hers. The customer service was also excellent and the turnaround time post ordering was within minutes. I highly recommend this place. I wish they were open throughout the week... but it's probably good that they aren't since I'm working on my abs.

This place is bomb. The food is amazing, just be ready to regret that last bite. The owners are super sweet and helpful, and the service is fast. If it's a late night out, look no further. Except maybe the gym the next day.

This places rents out the kitchen of Velvet Jones, which I don't even think is a live venue anymore, much less open. The actual Velvet Jones wasn't open when I visited in June, but this delicious mac and cheese front was. The mac and cheese here is pretty decent. A fast food equivalent would be like El Pollo Loco's mac and cheese. The mac and cheese is best eaten here fresh like within 15 minutes, because otherwise the cheese gets weirdly gloopy/chunky in consistency rather than creamy/sticky. The noodles are pretty big and fall apart easily and the tater tots are fantastic (the vegetarian option has tater tots underneath the mac and cheese and omg). The build-your-own small starts at $6. I got mine just plain for $6 and thought it was pretty worth it. My friend ordered the vegetarian one without jalapenos. It normally comes with tomatoes, jalapenos, and basil, but they totally forgot the basil and we didn't realize until we got home (it was wrapped in foil to-go). The large was definitely a big size, but not sure if worth about $12. Would highly recommend this hole-in-the-wall (almost literally) to any mac and cheese lover with a night-time craving, though. Seems like tax is included in the listed price, which is a bonus.

We planned a night of our vacation in Santa Barbara FOR this place, and it did NOT dissapoint! I got the frito mac n cheese and my boyfriend got the meatlovers.... both were massive piles of deliciousness! I would recommend either being starving or under the influence, cause I could only finish a quarter of the large I ordered. The two lovely men working were absolutely amazing and are what made this a 5 star review! They were very friendly and were extremely gracious with us showing up a few minutes before 9pm. I would HIGHLY recommend checking this place out!
