Fishco Cafe - Rockhampton

I had take away crumbed fish and chips which were perfectly cooked. I went in just before closing time but staff were very obliging and friendly.

Fishco Cafe is a wonderful place to buy a meal of fish and chips. There is no pre-cooked meals handed out, you wait for your fish and chips to be cooked, so it is fresh and hot and delicious. Their prices are reasonable, and their menu is large for a fish and chip shop. Almost every time I have been there I have seen regulars having meals there, as you can dine in as well. If you ring ahead your meal is usually ready for you when you arrive. We travel from North Rockhampton to South Rockhampton for a meal of Fishco fish and chips, that is how great we think they are.

Thoroughly recommend battered fish'n'chips and their awesome burgers - we have them often and have yet to be disappointed! The fish melts in your mouth & the burgers are huge. A great quick, tasty meal any night!

The scallops are lovely but they seem to have a habit of overcharging every time I visit. The first time I thought it was a school boy error this time I'm not sure.

I've had several meals of fish and chips from Fishco, quite often well grilled fish, sometimes they forget to remind you to keep the styrofoam container level and it leaks out the side, but otherwise good. The beer battered chips are great and something I specifically ordered this Friday night, but this time we waited half an hour for burnt, soggy and very ordinary chips. Guys you do yourselves and the customer no favours by putting out poor quality chips, when that is one thing that brings me back.
