City Corner 2 - Roanoke

I tried the ground chicken pad ka paow over rice, Thai hot. It was mediocre but satisfying in a sort of mall food-court sort of way, if you know what I mean. The spice level was lower than I expect for ordering "Thai hot". It seems the upper limit for spice here isn't so great. The flavor is simple and unbalanced. It's dominated by savoriness and saltiness from fish sauce and spiciness from chilis. The ground chicken was somewhat dry and bland. There is a fair amount of liquid present in the bottom of the plate/container that is flavorful but it's so thin that it doesn't stick to the meat.

Quaint little restaurant with very detailed traditional decor (even in the restroom!) Food was wholesome, not too spicy, not too oily, warm and comforting...  My husband's go-to place for almost every lunch :-)

Great authentic Thai food, friendly ownership, great customer service, Thai atmosphere, dine in and carry out. Looking forward to going back again soon.

Am încercat pad de pui de la sol Ka pavă peste orez, thai fierbinte. A fost mediocru, dar satisfăcător într-un fel de mall-hrană-curte fel, dacă știi ce vreau să spun. Nivelul de condimente era mai mic decât mă aștept la comanda "Hot Thai". Se pare că limita superioară pentru condimente nu este atât de mare. Aroma este simplă și dezechilibrată. Este dominată de savoriness și de sare din sosul de pește și spiciness de la Chilis. Puiul de pui a fost oarecum uscat și bland. Există o cantitate echitabilă de lichid prezent în partea de jos a plăcii / recipientului, care este aromă, dar este atât de subțire încât nu se potrivește cu carnea.
