Sal's Italian - Roanoke

What a nice time we had for the first time at Sal’s yesterday. My son is in LOVE with the steak and cheese sub and wants to come back weekly (it was not only delicious, but also a considerable amount of steak). I have the lunch buffet... from salad dressing to pizza, as I haven't had since NY, and especially the garlic knots, it was fabulous. Stephanie took care of us and the atmosphere is open, light, friendly and happy. An entertaining place to get wonderful food! Recommend Sal’s.

What my wife and I had. The restaurant was certainly crowded, but we were pretty fast and the staff and servers were on the ball and it was a very unforgettable time and good food!! We had Chicken Parmesan and Linguine with Italian sausage. We will be here again and again!!

The shrimps are the best I ever had. Your garlic knots are a must! Your pizza we ordered to go was also later heated for dinner.

I was in this restaurant twice a month and I can't talk much more about it! First go to the door and see a huge ad or amazing looking desert then get your menu and not Miss Out to the BEST Garlic node! Make sure to post your location on Facebook to get the garlic knots free! Ask for ransom and they're always better! The veggie pizza was good, but better with the ranch too. We also enjoyed the Italian sub, although I must admit that it was different from what I was used. But the right winner here is the Manicotti! The ricotta filled pastas were so good that I can't wait to have them again! The red sauce is very good and not excessively sweet as some competitors. My husband had thrown to create your own pasta and got fatuccine alfredo witj Italian sausages and he loved it! My grandmother got meat lasagna and loved it too. Basically, as I say, Pasta is the way to go! The pasta dishes were far above any olive garden dish! The carrot cake was also very good and damp and I would order it absolutely again! The restaurant is clean and the toilet. I also had GREAT service both times I went to Sals, the waiter is from the country Paraguay and we're lucky to have him both times, and he's really friendly and really takes care of his tables and not just tips! He is very personal and goes from his way to guarantee a great culinary experience. The only opportunity I have seen at Sals is that the tablecloths were a little too long for the tables and, above all, could create a risk of triggering for older people. I had to be careful to help my grandmother from the stand.

We are from NJ and have been looking for a good Italian restaurant. We found it at Sal's. The staff and owner were very friendly. The food was delicious. We will be going back for sure.
