Contribuiți la feedbackI have been driving in Skibowl for years (the closest to my house, and as a veteran, always use the military discounts for active and retired military. It's never been a problem. On 01/19/2021 I wanted to buy my ski pass and told the lady that I am a veteran. She informed me that Skibowl has changed the directive that instead of a discounted lift ticket I will buy a ticket at full price and then bring it at the end of the day to use a guest card at a later time. At the end of my ski day, I went with my pass to exchange for guest services. But when I told the lady I was a veteran, she acted as if I was lying. (As a female I get used to many years of people who do not believe me when I say I am a veteran. So I showed her my military ID. She then said that Skibowl has changed her policy that it is only for active military and that veterans were cut from the program. I was embarrassed because the lady was sneaky and acted like I wanted something for nothing, and I felt set up because the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning was not told about veterans. When I left the resort, I looked on the internet and found that the site was over military discounts. The site clearly says active and retired members of the military. It has not said anything about veterans that are cut. If veterans have actually been cut out of the program, why is it still on the website? And if it's true that veterans were cut, why not know the lady who sold me the ticket in the morning? I telephoned both Meadows and Timberline this morning, who assured me that their discounts for active and retired military did not change. Actually, the guy in Timberline said what I experienced at Skibowl doesn't sound right at all. I will now ski at Meadows and Timberline, not because of the so-called political change, but because of the difference in what I have read on the website and because of the knowledge between the employees. I will write my experience on review pages only so that no other veteran (especially females who get the Brittany of Discrimination, the way I was and goes through them.
Great atmosphere, great place to meet new friends and a good relaxing break with a good selection of beer and food. I took off a star because the girl worked there, provided me one of the lowest customer service experiences I saw. I didn't notice that a window window was outside to do a walk-in service, I asked my friend loudly how we ordered, we were not safe. She literally stared at us and looked like we were worried by asking herself how to order something, never even hallo or something. I was asked if I wanted butter on my bread and I said yes. There was no butter in sight when I got my food. She had put the tray in the window bench, I wasn't sure if it was done at all, because she kept the tray with the tray. Then she just left the window, I didn't know if she got anything else (like the butter I didn't get), but no, she just left after the tray was finished. I had to ask if it was ready when I was confused that she had turned off for a few minutes. She was all shy to be orally rude to me. One of the worst customer service experiences I had honestly and I was in customers with customer service environments for a decade! Too bad to see that she works in such a cool place. Sad. I still tipped what I didn't have. I hope her night was better.
