Contribuiți la feedbackWe liked the portions of octupus and beef. Very Nice prices for food and wine. Sometimes the restaurant is busy but it worthes the waiting.
Bern here a few times over the years. Food has always been excellent. The BBQ chicken for 2 is very tasty, my favourite is the regional Espetada. Can become very busy so book to avoid disappointment. The staff are friendly and attentive.
We ate here twice and each time food excellent and good price. Limited selection as tiny island and everything has to be brought in.
Vila Miseria has become a firm favourite of ours. Fourth visit and just as good. Reputation for fish and traditional Portuguese food lives on. Bolo do caco to start with two styles of polvo (octopus and picador madeiranese to follow. Papa Figo red wine and Super Bock beer with lovely coffee to finish. Delightful! We will be returning!
Our third time visit with local friends from the island and guests from the UK. Just as on earlier visits we were not disappointed. Traditional Portuguese food beautifully prepared, well cooked and served promptly to our table. Adventurous cuisine for our UK friends. First timers for polvo octopus), Lapas Limpets), picolo traditional meat dish), mussels and bolo do caco island garlic bread special) for starters. Main courses of T bone steak, grilled chicken, traditional 'black ' pork served with french fries and salad. Totally delicious! 4 bottled Duoro red and white wines water and beer finished the gastronomic delight. Delicious coffee to finish. 7 totally satisfied guests and a bill including tip of €160. Excellent value yet again. We look forward to visiting again on our next visit.
