Casa do Velho Dragoeiro Restaurant

I had no idea when I checked in to stay at the Casa do Velho Dragoeiro that I was sleeping above the best restaurant on the island. The Tourist information told me it was the number one on the island. I made sure I was booked in for dinner and I went down the sea food route and the whole experience was amazing - Presentation divine and taste well to say it was all fresh was an understatement. The fish of the day just melted in your mouth. The staff are very friendly and very efficient. The whole experience is unforgettable and fantastic value. Location perfect. I will definitely be back. What a little gem.

We discover this restaurant during a walk. We say tks so much for the friendly and kindly owner and staff. We ate a very excellent fresh fish. Don't forget to book only by phone or at the restaurant.

The view from restaurant was amazing, it's a lovely cosy little restaurant, the service was very good and the waiter was friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend the chicken curry.This restaurant was recommended by our Hotel who made our reservation, the restaurant provided free transport to and from our hotel.

Excellent service, good food, fresh fish very well cooked. The 400g per person was a bit to much but it was excellent.

We had a fish meal which was really tasty and fresh. That's because the fish was caught on that morning. Second time there and looking forward to repeat. Mango dessert exceptional as well.
