Beijing Take Out - Portage

Stumbled upon Beijing Chinese Restaurant for the first time, yesterday and I am sure glad I did! I don't live in Portage but was visiting a friend close by in Valpo. We just had a taste for Chinese. Our starters were egg rolls and shrimp Pad Thai, both of which were excellent. It's when I got to their beef and broccoli that I really lost it. Absolutely delicious! The beef was melt in your mouth tender and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Hands down, the best I have ever had even after having lived in Chicago many years. I'll definitely be back there and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for outstanding Chinese food.

Beijing is our family's go-to Chinese restaurant. We've been ordering takeout from there for several years, and the food is always outstanding. We've sampled dishes like beef with broccoli, beef with mixed vegetables, beef with mushrooms, orange chicken, General Tso's chicken, seafood delight, garlic shrimp, fried rice, and egg foo young, and everything has been AMAZING every single time. The portions are generous, and the vegetables are always fresh. I truly love this place and can't recommend it highly enough!

Originally I wanted Jade Garden, but found out they are closed on Sundays. I figured I would give Beijing a try and did a pick up order. I went in and ordered, staff was very friendly, and they had the food ready in at 10 minutes. Everything was fresh and delicious, but it was a little pricer compared to some other places. I will definitely go back again. *Note: If you place an order through their own actual website, their prices are higher than if you just go in and order that is why I gave 4 instead if 5 stars.

This is likely the best crab rangoons, steamed dumplings, and pork egg rolls I've ever had! They also serve fantastic Pad Thai. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. I rated it 4 out of 5 instead of 5 because the Pad Thai could definitely use more sauce, and the chicken has a slightly rubbery texture. Overall, though, this restaurant is great, and we will definitely be ordering from here again!

This is definitely the best Chinese restaurant in town! The food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredible! I’ve never had a bad experience here. It was my go-to place during my chemotherapy, and they always took care of me. They even kept me informed about changes to the menu ahead of time. They genuinely cared about my well-being and remembered my name every time I visited! What a fantastic group of people! I would give them 10 stars if I could!
