Schoops Hamburgers - Portage

This was my first visit to the restaurant. I ordered a plate with two eggs, sausage, hash browns, and toast. I was pleased with everything except for the hash browns, which were quite oily and could have used a bit more cooking. The service was great; my coffee cup was always full.

Retro burger joint with all the nostalgic atmosphere you would expect. Service was good, the slice of pumpkin pie I got for desert was HUGE.

I had the worst hamburger I've ever tasted, and the fries were undercooked and greasy. They even messed up the milkshake, which was just vanilla ice cream. I really wish I could get my $40 back.

Proud to have grown in around here and going to Schoops with my children like my parents with me. The old steel mill and lake Michigan photo prints show our city's history and how this little place grew.

We had a great experience at this restaurant! The staff was friendly, and our service from Aubrey was exceptional. The burgers were delicious, the onion rings were crispy, and the vanilla milkshake was outstanding.
