Rivermark Cafe - Port Macquarie

Lovely breakfast and coffee enjoyed by all four of us - poached eggs perfectly cooked and toasted bread wonderful. I had the pumpkin bruschetta special with onion jam, pesto and tomato relish in toasted sourdough and poached egg $17Cakes and slices to die for - had a box of slices made up to goHappy and quick service on a Thursday morning

What a great spot on a sunny day. We managed to get the best table in the house, right on the water, so off to a great start. Great food at reasonable prices. Ours was a party of four. The calamari was beautifully light and soft, and a great quantity. The crumbed prawns were delicious, and a very generous serve. Two of us had the special Jewfish which was beautifully cooked and presented. Only slightly let down by being served on a cold plate, thus making the otherwise delicious parsnip puree a bit disappointing. An easy problem to fix for next time. Otherwise would have given a rating of 5.Will be back when we are next in Port. Probably best on a dry warm day.

On a sunny day you can't find a nicer place to sit but our recent visit was disappointing as far as the quantity of food we were served at the price it cost. One meal was a combined seafood meal that was $27.50 dollars and all it had was 2 prawns, 1 calamari ring and a small palm size piece of fish on chips with some salad. The other meal was a $17 chicken wrap which had one crumbed tenderloin of chicken cut vertically and that was it for the chicken. Semi sun-dried tomatoes were a bit more generous. The cake cabinet looked good but we didn't stay to try any. Staff friendly.

Today we stopped in for morning tea,Don't let the facade fool you, once you enter there's a lovely dining area right on the waterfront.There is an array of mouthwatering cakes to chose from and the lunch menu was also tempting at reasonable prices.The staff was friendly and efficient. It was a pleasant way to start the day & would be as equally rewarding after a busy day sightseeing. So calming and relaxing by the water

Third time here and first time I haven't seen a dolphin frolic just across from table had the sea food chowder sister had the coconut and mango prawns absolutely wonderful only reason I don't give this wonderful place a five is the wine list it is quite woeful
