Maharaja Indian Restaurant

I consider myself a curry connoisseur and consider their curry the best I’ve had since coming to Australia 10 years ago.

We arrived to a full restaurant with no booking, but after a short wait a table was cleaned ready for us. It was very busy night, so we were a little worried about the wait time... but our order was taken promptly and drinks and food started arriving in good time. All our dishes were delicious, especially the naan which was just the right balance of light, crispy and soft. Even when we accidentally broke a wine glass (sorry! it was cleaned up quickly and replaced. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant for both food and service. Thank you for a lovely meal, we will definitely be back.

Absolutely delicious food! Fast service, friendly staff. I had the Cheese Kofta (vegetarian) I'd say its the best Indian food I've had in many a year! Husband had Tandoori chicken and that was very tender and tasty. Was also great to find a restaurant in Port Macquarie open after 8pm midweek.

They are only 3 years old but they serve decent food at slightly expensive prices; the best part is their location near the beach and the piers.
