I told them they got the order wrong, as said I can't have cream source as I'm lactose intolerant... The second attempt they gave me another Gamberoni in a cream source... I told the manager about this and he said you didn't tell me that you a lactose intolerant... It really annoys me how people put in charge food don't take allergies seriously. I will never return to another Bella Italia again... I hope you also follow doing the same. Bella Italia please go and get some training in food safety. Please take it seriously!
We waited for 45 minutes for our kids' food, which seemed to have been microwaved and didn't taste very good. The spare ribs in our adult meals were also disappointing, as one portion was cold. We had to wait over five minutes for cutlery, and eventually had to get it ourselves. Overall, our experience at the restaurant was very disappointing.
This restaurant reinforced my opinion that if you want an enjoyable meal, avoid franchises like this. The service is appallingly slow and the food is average. The waiting staff are unaware of items on the menu that are unavailable. One of our party ordered sea bass and was informed several minutes after placing the order, that there was none available. The same thing happened with dessert no fruit salad! I ordered a bottle of red wine and the waiter brought white to the table! I ordered a pizza to share with my wife accompanied by two salads. Only one salad arrived! When our food eventually appeared it was lukewarm, not piping hot. i should have complained and sent it back but then we would have waited ages for a replacement. The only redeeming feature of this restaurant are the staff. They are friendly but sadly not well trained. If you want a Italian meal go elsewhere.
We went to Bella Italia Plymouth for a family evening meal during the half term. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Portions were great and it was delicious. Food came out really quickly. We return regularly because the staff are so welcoming and always recognise us. The staff Tyler, Paul and Melanie made our family feel really welcome and made it a really special half term treat. They were really engaging with our children and Paul showed them how to make the Bella Italia chocolate milkshake. We had the kids eat for a £1 deal and the children all got to pick their own ice cream colours and toppings at the ice cream cart which made it really fun. The staff were so accommodating of our young family and all are an asset to the business. We will recommend them to anyone visiting. Thank you for a great service and a lovely family meal.
Booked for a party of 7 for our sons 16th birthday and have to say we were really disappointed. Even thought it wasn't very busy, service was so slow it took 20 mins to get drinks. We ordered based on what we were told was available but after waiting about 25 mins we were asked to change our order because there was limited availability on a starter a few of us had chosen, the re order got completely mixed up and after a further 15 mins we were offered the wrong food. twice! and then asked if we were sure about what we'd ordered!!. From being seated at about 7.10 pm we were still waiting for mains at 9 pm. More disappointment, lasagne was cold and had to be sent back and only 6 out of 7 arrived. There was about another 15/20 minute wait for the last main, ribs, which were swimming in orange grease and served with fries literally just a small rack of around 12 greasy ribs and a portion of fries £19.99?! . My biggest issue is with the service though, especially on what was supposed to be a special occasion. With several tables complaining and some leaving, it was clear that the servers and the manager had just given up trying really, all except the girl behind the bar who offered the only sincere apology of the night. We ended up staying for desserts which weren't bad to be fair but we only stayed because we'd got vouchers to use and knew we'd wouldn't be coming back anytime soon. The manager adjusted the bill to compensate us but definitely do NOT recommend this place based on our experience.
