Bella Italia Plymouth Barbican Leisure

Used to love Bella Italia, but very disappointing visit yesterday. I appreciate we were a large group, but it was over an hour before we got starters. Service was extremely slow and there was no communication or acknowledgement from staff, despite the restaurant being quiet. Portion sizes were about half what they used to be, for twice the prize. I got about 5 small meatballs in my starter costing over £7! Food was tasty enough, but I just couldn't believe how expensive it has gotten, for so little. It's a real shame and I suspect it is due to rising costs, but we won't be going back due to such poor value for money.

The pizzas were small and thin like tortillas , there is no photo of the gluten free pizza but the pizza was very thin and just awful. The portions were very small, there were a small amount of toppings, the serving was great , but the food was awful.

Really great service, you were quite full and we had not booked like a last minute before a cinema trip. They offered us in seating with a waiting period of about 20 minutes or outside. We sat outside, we saw ourselves fast and food really came out fast. It was delicious.. definitely again.

Never a bad meal when we ate here, staff always friendly, but some seem to have enough smiles (can end the layers? The system of checking in and receiving a text when the table is finished seems to be really good with the time estimate. We keep the grill hot

Excellent Nandos. The external Queuing app on our phone outside was super easy to use and no trouble. Able to order phone also by phone. The food and table service was great. I had the vegan Imitator Burger. Was good for alternative to chicken, but was on the cold side that ruined the burger for me. However, the chips and groundless drinks were perfect.
