Scarpetta - Philadelphia

When we entered the restaurant thru the hotel, we waited 10 minutes to unattended entrance. Finally, someone came and led us to another entrance on the other side of the restaurant. there was no sign to direct them to another place, eating was very good. portions were small, but we are small eaters, so did not affect us. service was strange frustrating. we served water right away. waited a very long time until the server comes too table. when she came, she took the drink order, but then asked if we had looked at the menu and if we were willing to order. not sure why she couldn't get the drink order first. we were then served our appetizers before drinks arrived. later our server seemed to disappear. another served asked what we wanted and we ordered 2 glasses or red wine. we said they were from the weeping we had ordered, but they had replaced another weeping. later, when the bill came, the substituted wein was much more expensive than the wein we ordered. they took two of the four weeping out of the bill. in consideration of the piece size prices seemed a bit high. you have not been running back

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving menu with them. it was a nice experience and the food was delicious!

Just the perfect Thanksgiving dinner! we want to go back next year.

Simply one of the best restaurants in philadelphia, and hard to beat the ambiente with view of the rittenhouse square.
