Echo Cafe - North Vancouver

The food is decent, as is the coffee. The pastries look enticing (but I cannot try them. The only covid restrictions are one way lines. The staff don’t wear masks. I won’t go back.

Today I took a random left turn onto 14th and Lonsdale and saw a sign outside a cafe that read, “come in and try our breakfast” So I did! And I am so happy I did! I discovered my new favourite cafe in Middle Lonsdale!! Happy friendly staff and delicious fresh food!!! Today is my lucky day.

We went for high tea, food was ok nothing fabulous! Service was not great very slow. The tea came no spoons, no sugar one of us waited a very long time to get a cup. We made the reservation 3 weeks in advance. Error by one person attending they couldn’t add a meal because it was prepared in advance. Worked in a restaurant for years we did anything to please the customer just saying. Company was good, but would definitely pay the extra money go somewhere else!

Went out to find a decent coffee shop in Lansdone and came across Echo Coffee shop. I ordered a latte and breakfast bagel and provided a 15% tip. They called out my latte order for pick up which i walked up to get. watching the news on my phone i actually forgot to get my bagel. The place was empty and the two ladies who were working there couldn’t be bothered to bring my bagel 10 feet! When i realized it had been a while I couldn’t believe their laziness! I started to wait to see if they would actually do the right thing and bring it out to me. Sadly they never did after a 40 minute wait!! The chex girl that served me at counter had a attitude of indifference and clearly had no desire to be there. How unfortunate for the owners. Your in the service industry and staff like that loose you money. Avoid this place at all cost high food prices and very poor quality of service!!

We love this spot! A little cafe on a side street near Lion’s Gate Hospital, they do all the coffee and tea drinks, they bake their own cookies and rolls and other munchies, and they do breakfasts and at lunch time they have sandwiches and soups and salads. And they are so obliging! Whatever special requests you have, they cheerily fulfill. Highly recommend their breakfast plates — eggs and salad and avocado make a nice combo, and if your timing is exquisite the cinnamon rolls will just be coming out of the oven. They also do a high tea — order in advance, and enjoy all the little tea sandwiches and sweet munchies. Easy bus trip to 15th street from anywhere, or park on Lonsdale or at Lion’s Gate Hospital. Highly recommended. Highly.
