Please let it be saying that because it’s the off season and they haven’t opened back up yet. Going to be so disappointed if I can’t go there anymore
The Jamaican food at this restaurant is quick, tasty, and hot. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, which was flavorful and delicious, especially for the great price. I also ordered the jerk chicken, which was a large portion for less than $10. Overall, the food was very good and I would definitely come back.
The Food is excellent, no complaints at all. Too bad there not open in the winter season. The Oxtail is highly recommended. I'll try the Curry Goat next time.
My girlfriend and I were searching online for a new restaurant to try, and we were thrilled to come across Maxine's Kitchen. We were impressed to find a menu with all the Jamaican dishes I love, as well as a separate menu with Canadian options. The staff at Maxine's Kitchen were fast, friendly, and hardworking. The portions were generous, and the atmosphere was cool with rasta bananas hanging in the window. I couldn't decide between the jerk chicken and the ox tail, so I ended up ordering both. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, while the oxtail was the best I've ever had - very meaty and filling. My girlfriend enjoyed the sausage on a bun and french fries, and she couldn't stop raving about how delicious the fries were. While we usually go to a jerk spot on Lundys Lane for Jamaican food, we believe that Maxine's Kitchen surpasses them and is now our go-to place for Jamaican cuisine. Thank you for a wonderful dinner!
My spouse and I were delighted to find this gem in Niagara Falls that satisfied both of our tastes - I enjoy spicy food while my husband does not. The jerk chicken was fantastic and the service was fast and friendly. It's definitely the best food find in the area.
