Penwig - New Quay

All very friendly, friendly and helpful. good food. nice room. I owe the penwig a great gratitude.

Fantastic setting overlooking the harbour. Very quiet when we booked but understandbly can get very busy. Menu had a few choices but online menu needs to either be adapted or updated as lots of dishes not available. Bar staff friendly and helpful. Food was cooked well and good size portions. Oh and the extensive gin collection was nice.

We had a lovely evening meal the staff were good very attentive, kind and helpful. The bar is very light and clean and a lovely family atmosphere It was very busy but we were served after only beening sat for a couple of mins the food was amazing very good portion size would definitely be coming back. It is also dog friendly with dog treats on the bar it was lovely to see the dogs relaxing to after a day at the beach.

We absolutely loved this dog-friendly hotel and pub! Our last-minute getaway for two nights exceeded our expectations. We received a warm welcome, enjoyed a cozy stay, and savored some fantastic beer! Thank you for making us feel so special; we will definitely be back! The meals were delicious and freshly prepared every time. The classic breakfast fueled us perfectly for our day of walking.

I believe it's unjust for establishments to face harsh criticism for slow service during the pandemic, as it was a challenging time for all restaurants, bars, and cafes. We dined here one evening over the weekend, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food had a classic pub style, featuring dishes like gammon and chips, burgers, and more, all of which were well-prepared and served. The prices were quite reasonable. Overall, we had a delightful evening, and we will definitely return. Thank you!
