From salads to steaks and seafood the variety will suit everyone. I had the delicious shrimp cocktail for an appetizer and the fish ponchentrain, which is blackened redfish smothered in a delicious seafood sauce. Highly recommend.
Came with a friend who grew up in the area many years back. Definitely a fine establishment. The service was excellent. Didn't have to wait for our food, the courses were brought out at the perfect time and the prime rib was perfect. The owner came over and chatted with my friend for a few minutes, great atmosphere. Want to go back there again soon.
These folks care about the quality of food they?re preparing and serving. Service always with kindness and smiles. I love their daily specials, prices are reasonable, too! Forever obsessed with their fried pickles, green beans and chicken fried chicken!
Only stopped in for desert but the bread pudding was to die for! Service was great too, considering we came in 20 minutes before closing. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
For over 30 years my wife and I enjoyed this fine restaurant. Now we live about an hour away and it's a treat when we can go there. Today we made the trip specifically to enjoy a rare treat they offer. A big plate of Texas style enchiladas. Notice I did not say Tex-Mex. These are the enchiladas smothered in meat sauce. While it is flavored with some chili power it's really a cheesy and beefy topping. I imagine this is the kind of enchiladas that Lady Bird fed Lyndon and the boys after a ranch clean up day. You use to get these in cafés and drug store lunch counters. This is the only place we know that still serves them.
