Choco Café And Coffee Shop

This café is very nice and homey. They have a wide selection of coffee based drinks as well as a generous food, desert and beverage menu. They also have a small store with a nice selection of local goods ranging from coffee and chocolate bars to jewelry. The service was very nice and the cashier actually gave me nice recommendations of places to visit, as well as sharing her perspective as a local who has lived in Monteverde her whole life and has seen the community grow. Great to get to know these places and the people!

Best cafe and coffee in the area hands down. (I own a very busy and successful cafe restaurant myself therfore am a good judge! We attended 4 times in 2 days for morning coffee and lunch. These guys really care, coffee, food and staff all fantastic. Owners have obviously worked hard to make this place so popular and still work in the business themselves. Credit to them Well done all involved.

After a long ride into town, we went out for dessert. Everything is great, especially the Passion fruit (Maracuya) cheesecake. Went the next day for lunch. It was que busy, but the service was quick and the food was delicious. There are plenty of options for everyone.

This restaurant was recommended to us by the owner of Hotel Tropico and it did NOT disappoint. While we only dined at the restaurant once, we stopped by 3 times during our 3 day stay at Monteverde simply for the delicious desserts. The cheese flan and the tres leches were our favorites. There is parking at the restaurant, but you can also park at the Central Market across the street.

I had the Salmon salad. It was fabulous. Everything was fresh. Everyone in our group enjoyed their lunch and the goodies from the bakery. I highly recommend this place
