I ate and had the vegetarian Casado and a Papaya smoothie. The food was fantastic; I had my favorite Casado in two weeks Costa Rica! Freshly cooked and the vegetables were delicious. Good price too. I would definitely recommend this place.

Delicious food, friendly service, fair prices, fun decor! We have the pork chop Asado, cheese empanada and arroz con leche. All were delicious! Supports this small family business.

Been twice! Consistently good experience. Great tortilla soup (don’t listen to the bad reviews of the soup) that is fatty, brothy, and delicious. Also great bbq costillas. Only bbq sauce in Costa Rica that i have enjoyed. This place only has like 5 small tables so it’s very cozy and nice. Go here for your traditional Costa Rican food, especially if you are only visiting Costa Rica for a few days. Best representation of local food.

We have been coming here for years. Every trip to Monteverde we make sure to eat here at least one or two times. Portions are big and everything is delicious. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I highly recommend the empanada! Freshly made dough. Delicious!!
