Strada Facendo - MODENA

This place is awesome! We took advantage of this place on our day trip to Modena. We arrived for lunch. Make a reservation! It is a short ride outside the center of Modena in a place where you would not expect a Michelin-starred (awarded in 2017) restaurant to be, the road to seems to leave Modena to connect with bigger roads. The area seems to have had better days, but if you like excellent food, you would be crazy to let this dissuade you. It is a small restaurant with well-dressed waiters and the chef personally comes out to take your order, accompanied by a translator just in case. OMG, the cuisine was awesome. They have a tasting menu and I would have gotten this, but this takes a long time and we wanted to see Modena. Do not miss this place. An excellent value!

One of the best dinner I've ever had. Super good food in every little detail. The location is nothing special.

Seriously the food is out of this world. But be ready for small portions. But from the cheese platter to the starters the main dish to the ice cream. Which I have to say is simply the best I’ve ever had. Or I can safely say the ice creams I’ve been eating aren’t real ice cream. All the dishes the table ordered were A1. Top class chef. I would most certainly come again if I return to Modena.

Fantastic food in a cozy and warm atmosphere. The owners and staff are very friendly and charming. I highly recommend it.

A true family restaurant, with great care and attention to detail. The food was some of the best we experienced in Italy the intensity of flavours, textures, balance between sour and sweet, the sauces and the presentation all first class. We selected 4 courses from the a la carte, including Foie Gras, Beef tartare, Duck Tortellini, Lobster spaghetti, Fassona Beef, and Roast Duck. Desserts were equally fantastic Hazelnut Parfait a Toffee ball filled with beautiful chocolate. An excellent wine list, plenty of options to choose from. We enjoyed wines by the glass the 98 Conterno Fantino Barolo was sensational drinking at its best. Service was wonderful personable and efficient. Entrees around e20, mains e32 a plate represented good value considering the quality of the dishes we enjoyed. All in all, an experience we won’t forget.
