Luby's - Mesquite

The food is fantastic, and the portion sizes are generous. The prices are quite reasonable, and they offer all-you-can-eat buffets on Saturdays. The staff is very friendly! On the downside, service can be slow and the staff appears to be a bit short-handed, which means the tables don’t get cleaned off as quickly as they should.

The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and extremely accommodating, particularly towards our senior citizen and our three-year-old toddler. The manager's special was quite generous for the price; it was so filling that we had to take some leftovers home because we couldn't finish everything they served us.

My mom is a huge fan of Luby's, so I decided to join her for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, especially the vegetables. Everything was cooked just right, and I saw the staff refreshing the serving trays with new ones for the same dishes. They also promptly offered to help my mom carry her tray, which I thought was a nice gesture. Thank you for inspiring me to give cafeteria food another chance!

The food at this restaurant is amazing, and the Luann plates provide great value, especially since you can exchange a side for a full salad. The only drawback was that the mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and spaghetti were a bit bland. On the positive side, the service was outstanding.
