Costco Wholesale - Merrillville

There’s a huge variety of items available here. It’s a good idea to do some research before you visit, as some prices may be higher than what you’d find at your local store. Overall, it was a good experience, and I was pleased with what I found.

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts specifically about the birthday cake I got for my son. It was a fantastic sheet cake priced at just $25, and it was absolutely amazing! I've had cakes that cost three times as much and weren't nearly as good. The ordering process was simple; all I had to do was fill out a form to choose my customizations, and I could pick it up at the time I requested.

They close at 6 PM on Saturdays, which is really inconvenient. It makes after-work shopping impossible. They should consider changing their hours.

Who doesn't love Costco? Staff is courteous, safe with COVID. Online order pick up in store needs a lot of work, but otherwise great as always. Do NOT try to get gas during rush hour. You'll be waiting forever.

Today I signed up for membership. The lady who worked with me was quite nice. This seems to be an ideal place for families to buy large quantities at competitive prices. The food items come in too large a quantity for a senior couple like us. I like that I can purchase paper products and household cleaning products in quantity. I also like that Costco has an optical shop, a pharmacy, and hearing aids. They have several levels of membership. One of the membership levels includes a Visa card that extends the manufacturer warranties on major purchases.
