Salted Egg - Melbourne

Excellent Asian style eating with brilliant balance of taste. unfortunately, the food became through the service that was determined to print us through dinner in record time.

I ordered the $75 banquet, and the small bites were absolutely delicious. However, I found the main courses to be a bit disappointing; the sauce was too sweet and didn’t really match the tom kha. The service was good, but I would have appreciated more detailed explanations about the dishes. Unfortunately, the charalat was inedible. I also wish there were more dishes featuring "salted eggs," but there weren't any.

While staying at the Quincy, on a visit to Melbourne, we decided to treat ourselves to the Set Dinner Menu and we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional, the service was attentive (but never overbearing) and we could not recommend it highly enough!

Food was super yummy, portions sizes good but service and knowledge about the food was 5 !!

Found Salted Egg after a quick search and was slightly sceptical as I hadn't heard of it before. Upon entering, that scepticism was gone. We were 30 mins early for our seating, which wasn't an issue for staff. Food was amazing and service fantastic. Highly recommended.
