With a friend. we have divided a bowl, because the part was great. they have delicious sarawak kuching noodles, noodles had great texture, sauce/oil was well accompanied by the noodles. we ordered a set $11 plus) with boar organ soup, the suppe was loaded and loaded. the black man was very hard. overall I would come back for some sarawak nudels! I'm not so sure about the rest of the courts. I saw someone ordering the bak kut teh, but I'm pretty skeptical about the authenticity.
For noodles that we simply couldn't walk past the kitchen inn at elizabeth st. the atmosphere is Asian cafe style, not imagination, it was busy, and the prices very reasonable. the portions were large and authentic. the kampua nudelsuppe (with pork) and fried vermicelli Chicken...Curry met the place. their cold drinks are also try to go a honey limonz tea with these delicious noodles. will definitely try some of the delicious looking rice dishes again.
We usually come here and have their signature colono/Kampua mee and I were always curious about all their other dishes that look so tempting. Today I have tried the fried foochow vermicelli noodles (wet), and it is exactly how it would be cooked at home. (heimat sibu, sarawak, malaysia). Without a doubt, her Kampua/Kolo mee is still the best dishes to try, but so far I would recommend the vermicelli as well as her tomaten charkuay teow. there are other dishes that I have tried that I would not recommend especially their sarawak laksa, fish noodle soup and their chicken feet.
Finally found a eatery or restaurant in Melbourne selling the unique Sarawakian noodles. We tried kampua, kolo mee, Sarawak laksa, Penand fried Kueh teow, pork belly, curry squid, Teh Tarik, red bean delight, and ice che dolce and red bean. Kampua and kolo mee were...good. Sarawak laksa lacked the unique belacan and cumquat. Ice chendol lacked colours, sweeten condensed milk and rose syrup. All in all, the food was good, service was fast, and the place was clean.
