Great Sushi. Legit ingredients and great service. Would definitely recommend to anyone in northern Saskatchewan.

Really good sushi! The rolls were huge and had all my favorites (BBQ eel dragon roll and spider roll.) Miso soup and salad bar is a great idea! We will be back for sure!

Tried the spicy bulgogi, which was not bad - not overly spicy, but they are likely accommodating local tastes. Service was very good with a delightful young server. This place use to have the best smorg in town and the best pizza but it's been shut down for a while while!

Visited Feb. 24th, during a 3 day work assignment. Oh, and in this town, if there is no sign telling you to wait to be seated, then just seat yourself and hope someone comes out from the kitchen to check to see if there are any knew customers sitting. strange I know especially when I waited at the till of another restaurant for 15 minutes before someone came out from the kitchen to check for newcomers. Apparently the Homestead Family Restaurant has changed hands. Cant speak to the previous owners but these new owners don't impress me much. Menu is classic Chinese-Canadian with the waitress not knowing what is the better menu item. The waitress (Amanda) was very engaging and full of stories - the place was empty and I enjoyed her company - but she was obviously inexperienced. She loved it though when I suggested a typical Finger Bowl with the ribs, which is what I ordered after long contemplation. She gladly brought the bowl of warm Lemon water and was so impressed she learned something knew. She truly was a joy. I ordered the side of BBQ Pork ribs as they were the most expensive main course at $22. and advertised as Very Tender. Well very tender they were not. Not overly tough but not tender for sure. They lay on a bed of rewarmed fried rice - not great - and stir fried veggies not bad but cool to the tongue. Could not finish the ribs.I would go again but wouldn't expect much more then average small town fare that wont excite the pallet but will fill the gut.Oh and your directions are way off. they are located on the corner of Hi-way 55 and Hi-way 4.
