We were looking for some place to eat the night before the Princess Half marathon. Having completed the 10k that morning, we wanted to eat a good meal at a reasonable time so we could get a good nights sleep for another early morning. When I saw availability at Flying Fish, I immediately jumped on the reservation. We live out of state, but have been visiting WDW for years, and Flying Fish has been on my list of places to try for years. After being closed for what felt like years for renovation, I was thrilled to see it available. This meal did not disappoint! We split the oak grilled romaine for an appetizer salad. Honestly, sharing just wasn’t enough! We could have easily eaten one apiece along with another appetizer because it was so good. It was different, the first grilled salad I’ve had, but the flavor with the cheese and just enough dressing was delicious. The bread service, also delicious. The wine, again delicious. We ordered the same entree, again everything looked good, but we like the same things. We both ordered the filet mignon, but added the seared scallops because it wouldn’t have felt right to not order any seafood. The steaks were tender and perfectly cooked. The risotto was creamy and the broccoli was also well seasoned. The scallops were delicious. They were served with little dips or pepper sauce. They weren’t spicy, but honestly didn’t even need them. The scallops themselves were perfect. We were too full for dessert but ate our whole meals! My only complaint was that the service was so incredibly slow. I understand wanting to give people time to enjoy their meal, but at least check on me or bring me water. ?? We’ll definitely be back either before a run, or just to have a nice dinner on property. This is identified as a signature dining experience, which was definitely what we received.
During our recent visit to Disney World, my wife and I chose Flying Fish for a date night, and it exceeded our expectations. The restaurant is remarkably high-end and elegant, a surprising find within a theme park. The atmosphere was both sophisticated and comfortable, creating a perfect setting for a special evening. For our meal, I was particularly impressed with the potato-wrapped red snapper, which was excellent. My wife also thoroughly enjoyed her dish. The food was superb, and the overall dining experience was delightful. We would highly recommend Flying Fish to anyone visiting Disney World and looking to enjoy a special night with their spouse or partner. It’s a hidden gem that offers a refined and memorable dining experience amidst the magic of Disney.
Visited Flying Fish after over a 10 year hiatus and still such a great experience. The service was top notch, Izzy was fantastic and made the visit memorable. The food was great........we were very surprised to see how refined the kids s 'mores desert was. They absolutely loved it. 100% worth visiting. Vegetarian options: Disney caters to almost all dietary needs. Dietary restrictions: Disney caters to almost all dietary needs. Kid-friendliness: It 's a Disney resort restaurant........so yeah.
Our favorite Disney Restaurant. Great wine selection and fabulous food and service. We are regulars there.
