There are many free parking spaces on the street, on the west side and in the back of the restaurant. There is a covered terrace from the back of the building. Before emptying, there are two entrance doors next to each other. The west door is the entrance to the Abo's Grill Restaurant. The east door is part of Abos Grill. The two dedicated entrances tell about the story, how busy and popular Abo's Grill is. This is my first visit to Abo's Grill. Abo's is not your typical Italian restaurant. It's a great neighborhood facility. My first impression when I went in the door is misleading. Do you expect your typical Italian restaurant, my first visual impression was that a bar? An imposing wooden bar takes slightly less than half the room of the dining room with three large screen TVs mounted above the bar. To get to other tables, you have to walk past some of the bar stools. The rest of the room has tables. The west wall opposite the bar is lined with cabins. A cabin has a large uniquely shaped solid wood table top, see attached picture. The other tables that are not cabins, some are fixed and some can be moved together to accommodate larger groups. This is an Italian family restaurant and pizza place, there is no separation (walls or knee walls) of the bar area from the dining area. A little embarrassing for families with younger children, in my opinion, while busy, high occupancy times. Food and service is very good. A college student is the bar station and only server on a weekday afternoon a little before 2:00. There's a gentleman at the bar watching ESPN. There's a group of eight people who finish their lunch when I entered Abos in one of the tables. My self and another solo dinner are in two seperate booths. The bar station/server is very personal. He is attentive and committed well with all males, without neglecting the needs of everyone. Very impressive! I started with the Italian wedding soup. The soup is full of vegetables and meat. I had an unsweetened iced tea to drink with my meal. Next I had the Veal Parmeson Entree. It is served on a bed made by Cappellini Pasta with the house marinara sauce. Veal is hand-baked. The house made Marinara sauce has a fine spicy heat. It fills the duck and does not overpower your taste buds. Very delicate and well thought out. Bravo! The food is a solid 4-star rating. It is a cut above the usual casual Italian restaurant tariff. Also here is the great neighborhood restaurant. Popular for eating in or with. My first impression when I first went to the door was soon changed by the great service and a good, tasteful, hearty meal. The restaurant and the master room are clean. About the Urinal there is a wooden shelf to pick up your beer/tail or mobile phone while you take care of your business.
First customer and will definitely return. Excellent service and food! Started with the meatball appetizer and it was delicious, especially its sauce. It reminded me of my grandmother's sauce. The house salad was honestly the best house salad I had. Sounds funny to say a simple house salad, but that was amazing! The dressing and everything that composed this salad was delicious. After our server (Laura) told me that their lasagna noodles are made by Nonni, I had to try it and it was not disappointed! The noodles were as light as a feather and this dish was not weighed at all and heavy with tons of cheese and meat. It was thin layers with some sausages in between and a little cheese and I think broken sausage upstairs. Normally, I would never be able to eat a whole deer of lasagna in a restaurant because it's just too heavy, but that was light and tasty. My husband ordered the chicken parmesan, which was also very good..... very delicate and many great taste. Good wine list, too. I have to say once again that the friendliness of the owner and our server has welcomed us so much and today you just don't find it very often. Good customer service is just as important as eating!
Shared my nephew's first birthday at Abo's. The salad and dressing were awesome. My kids don't eat salads but they finished these. The pizza dough and crust were seasoned with a hint of garlic and the sauce was very sweet and smooth. We would definitely choose to eat at Abo's again.
Friendly staff, local mood, good music for all generations and really well made Italian cuisine. Sauce was great, noodles were perfectly cooked and the chicken in the chicken parm was excellent. Not too many places can get the delicacies for bread. Very pleased and will be back soon.
Delicious food and great service. Yummy Veggie Pizza and we added carmelized onions. Side salad was also the perfect part. So good. Saw on the terrace and enjoyed the fresh air. It's hidden to make you safe and enjoy it!
