Jumbo's Family - Listowel

If I could give 0 stars I would have, made the huge mistake of stopping here with my family on May 1st... when passing through Listowel. Huge mistake. The blonde foreign lady that served us was the most unfriendly person I've ever came across. NO Hi or bye or thank you, so unbelievably rude. They got a busy burst after we had placed our order and they decided to take care of about 20 other people who were in after us getting takeaways and left us sitting there with no food for nearly 20mins. When the rude lady dropped our food down after my husband went up to the counter to see where it was.... she may as well have thrown the tray on the table .. said nothing and walked away !! Once again terrible customer service. Now for the over cooked very greasy on the outside and dry on the inside food....None of us could finish our meals. My husband got onion rings that were literally too hard to bite into. Kids chicken was so over cooked it was so dry neither of them would eat after first bite. I got Taco chips should be called Mayo chips ... that was not taco sauce all I could taste was mayonnaise horrible. So in short if your looking for unfriendly atmosphere and horrible over cooked food and terrible customer services then stop here. Otherwise avoid at all costs !!!!!!!!

No visit to Listowel would be complete unless you stop at Jumbos for a burger and chips! Loved the crazy busy atmosphere.

I had to get a quick meal a couple of weeks ago, whilst on my way somewhere and stopped off at Jumbos. I had a burger and chips, with a diet coke meal. It was a good, filling meal, just the right size for a big lad like me (I often feel let down by the size of McDonalds ' burgers/wrap sizes and contents, but this was good! . The restaurant is clean and the staff very friendly. Jumbos has been in business in Listowel for donkey 's years now and has a good reputation with the locals and whenever you mention Jumbo 's you always get a good reponse (My uncle actually say 's Ah, Jumbo 's with a smile, if I say I got a meal there. lol . I 'm looking forward to my next meal from Jumbos. Thank you. :

What can I say , every time I go to Listowel I head to jumbos for a nice take away. The breast box of a large breast of chicken with chips stuffing and coleslaw makes this restaurant stand out from all the rest, definitely my favourite haunt in north kerry when over visiting family . Plenty of seats if you decide to eat the food before heading on. Staff are always friendly and the food is reasonably priced .

Fast food restaurant where the fast and friendly service is a joy to behold. The burgers and chicken are some of the best around
