Oishi Sushi - Libertyville

If you're in search of authentic flavors and high-quality sushi, Oishi Sushi should be at the top of your list. While there are other places that offer good sushi, the flavors here are exceptional! The tempura is among the best I've had anywhere in the world. The service is friendly and attentive. The all-you-can-eat option is a great concept, as you’ll find it hard to stop indulging!

It all started when our other sushi place was closed for a holiday. We decided to take out here and bring it home to eat it. When we got home we had the biggest crab Rangoon‘s I have ever seen as a gift in our order (we had spent a little over $100). So we decided to go dine in next time for the all you can eat sushi which started a relationship with this restaurant that we will truly miss as a Navy family moving to a different state. This is our all time favorite restaurant for our family, we absolutely love the staff, we love the sushi, and we overall just enjoy every ounce of our visit every single time that we come here. We will truly miss the waitress and the food!

The food was delicious, and excellent portions. The owner was so kind, even played with our son while we ate. We will be back for sure!

My experience at the new sushi restaurant was fantastic. The sushi was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was impressively quick. We finished three rounds of the all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu in just 1 hour and 30 minutes, which is quite fast. All the staff were friendly and attentive. I can’t wait to return!

Although there was a moderately long wait, it was reasonable considering there was just one sushi chef serving our party of five. Here’s what I ordered for my first round: crab rangoon (the best I’ve had in years), seaweed salad (a must-have, quite standard), one tuna sushi (decent), two salmon sushi (good), one yellowtail sushi (okay), one eel sushi (good), one Alaska roll (good), one sky beauty roll (okay), and one modern roll (okay). I found the items I highlighted as good worth ordering again. I enjoyed the tuna nigiri so much that I went for a second round. While some of the other dishes were acceptable, I wouldn't choose them again. If I return, I’ll stick to the items I found enjoyable. Overall, it was a good AYCE sushi experience.
