The next disappointment was the FAILURE of the Kitchen Manager... keep in mind this is Early on a Saturday night. The Bayou Mac and Cheese dinner which is supposed to include Andouille Sausage and chicken. Guess what... the kitchen runs out of Andouille Sausage (early on a Saturday night) and the waiter suggests adding more chicken instead... hardly BAYOU mac and cheese without the sausage. Then there's the 10 wings for $13... I asked if the waiter could at least make sure that the wings were good size pieces and the wings came out overcooked, unsized and just plain bad. How is it possible to screw up wings... at $1.30 a piece no less. Finally, Update your online menu, please! My wife is vegetarian and choices are generally limited at most places, so when she went to order a dish that was listed in your online menu, it wasn't available at the establishment. Is this acceptable to the Owner? Super disappointed!! Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
This restaurant is fantastic - with a local feel, upscale tavern fare, creative cocktails, top-notch service, and a welcoming atmosphere.
I ordered delivery online and requested Caesar dressing instead of the 7-day sauce on a chicken sandwich. However, when the order arrived, it had garlic aioli instead. I called the restaurant to address the issue and spoke with the manager, Chris, who was very rude and insisted that the sandwich was prepared correctly. I brought the sandwich back to the restaurant and asked for a sample of both Caesar dressing and garlic aioli. The sample provided matched the garlic aioli, not the Caesar dressing. I asked for a refund, but Chris continued to argue with me and was disrespectful throughout the entire interaction. I was extremely disappointed with the manager's behavior and the way he handled the situation. Despite having had good experiences at the restaurant in the past, this incident left a bad impression.
I ordered the shawarma bowl after being warned that it didn't contain any meat, but the server still recommended it. I decided to add chicken to it, but it was disappointing. My friend tried the blueberry burger and thought it was just okay. The beers were good and the service was great. Overall, the atmosphere was pleasant. Our experience was for lunch and the price per person was between $20-30. Food quality was rated 2 out of 5, service a 4 out of 5, and atmosphere a 4 out of 5.
Great pub in downtown Libertyville. Great food, atmosphere and service. They have a great party room upstairs for private events. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
