Mare Sol - Lagrange

I love Mare Sol! Even after it changed chefs, the menu only seemed to get better! Their service and food is astounding and I’ve never had something I haven’t liked from there. It’s an amazing local restaurant that should be visited by all,tourists and locals alike! My current favorite is the Southwest Smash Burger. Best burger I’ve literally ever eaten!!

With a party of 6 celebrating our friends birthday we ventured to the quaint city of LeGrange Georgia where we encountered Mare Sol. We arrived on the early side of Happy Hour since we know reservations are hard to get. Our server Jen was very patient aswe asked so many questions about menu items. Our food came quickly and was delicious. I loved the ambiance with the open floorplan and the natural lighting. Our food was hot and tasty. The wine recommendation was on point. This is definitely a place totry if you find yourself in this small town as they are trying to do big things with flavor. I do wish they had more gluten freeoptions.

This is a really nice place in a beautiful historic downtown area. The grilled pork chop and its sides were amazing! Our kids had grilled cheese and tomato soup and the tomato soup was some of the best I have ever had. I would definitely come back whenvisiting this area again.

Well the food wasn 't good but it was expensive! Ordered a cup of lobster bisque. BARELY lukewarm but $12.00. The hanger steak was described by the server as the most tender portion of the beef tenderloin. Half way through the meal she observed mydifficulty cutting the most tender portion to ask if I wanted a steak knife! $24.00. It had a flavor totally foreign to anybeef I 've ever tried and wasn 't a taste I hope to experience again. Very disappointed in our experience there. The server waspersonable and efficient.

Very busy at night and seemed among the employees. our waiter did a great job, but she was stretched. eating was pretty good. noise level was very loud, so it was hard to hear, and the tables are very small and heavy to fit a plate and cutlery and drinks for four people. there were open stands, but they didn't let us move to them.
