El Toro Mexican - La Porte

The restaurant could really benefit from a complete renovation to bring it up to modern standards. While the food was good, it was somewhat overpriced. Additionally, my drink took quite a while to arrive.

The habanero salsa keeps me coming back, and everything I've tried has been great so far. The service is also good. I would love to see a chile relleno on the menu someday. On October 20, 2023, I had the two chicken quarter legs with mole for $16. However, it didn't even include the breast. I know you can do better, El Toro. The sauce was tasty, though.

I want to give a special shout-out to our waitress, whose name I can't recall, but her service was exceptional! This lovely lady was truly charming to our group of ten. We had some family visiting and decided to treat them to authentic Mexican cuisine, and we couldn't have picked a better place! Calling the food delicious is an understatement; everyone finished their meals in just a few minutes without a word of complaint. The drinks were also fantastic, and the young man who prepared and served them was very attentive.

Food was good but not as amazing as I was hoping considering the price. 20 bucks for a nacho plate with 8 chips on it.
