Scott's Brasserie - Kilkenny

The food is excellent, and the service is outstanding. It's a great place for families as well.

We chose this restaurant because it is one of the few outside the historic center of Kilkenny but very close to our accommodation. It may not be the cheapest option for Italian standards (20-25 euros for a main course) but it is reasonable by Irish standards. The dishes were good, well executed, and well presented (we chose the famous English soup and an Irish chicken). The cheesecake was particularly delicious. The only downside was the white pasta ordered for the child, which came plain without salt, oil, or butter. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.

The peppercorn sauce was a delightful touch that enhanced the flavors of the meal. The fresh fish and chips were a standout, and the prawns were impressively fresh and tasty. What truly made our visit memorable was the outstanding service from the staff. Their friendly attitude and willingness to assist, especially with my disabled uncle, added a special touch to our experience. For a culinary journey that offers excellent food and attentive service, Scott's Bar in The Newpark Hotel is a must-visit dining spot in Kilkenny.

The bar is wonderful, the service is excellent, and the kids' menu is fantastic! There’s a wide variety of options for children at great prices. The atmosphere is relaxing as well.
